What is a Foster Based Rescue?

As a foster-based rescue, Dog Days Rescue operates without a physical shelter facility. Instead, we rely solely on dedicated volunteer foster homes to provide temporary care for the dogs we rescue until they find their forever homes.

Here’s what being a foster-based rescue means for Dog Days Rescue:

Our Foster Homes

Our rescue depends on compassionate individuals who open their hearts and homes to dogs in need. Foster homes provide a safe, nurturing environment where dogs can thrive while they await adoption.

Individualized Care

Each dog in our care receives personalized attention tailored to their specific needs. Our foster homes work closely with our team to address medical, behavioral, and socialization requirements, ensuring that every dog receives the care they deserve.

Transition to Adoption

Foster homes play a vital role in preparing dogs for their forever homes. They help dogs adjust to home life and provide valuable insights into the dog's personality and preferences, which aids in finding the perfect match.

Temporary Sanctuary

While we don't have a physical shelter, our foster homes serve as temporary sanctuaries where dogs are loved, cared for, and given a second chance. This model allows us to provide them dogs the individualized care they need.

Community Support

Dog Days Rescue relies on the support of our community, including our foster homes, volunteers, donors, and supporters. Together, we make a difference in the lives of dogs in need, one foster home at a time.

By being a foster-based rescue, Dog Days Rescue is able to save and improve the lives of countless dogs, thanks to the dedication and commitment of our foster homes and supporters. If you're interested in becoming a foster parent or supporting our mission, we invite you to join our community and make a difference in the lives of dogs in need.
